Painting Small

After spending the weekend in Philadelphia and checking out the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, I noticed something Cecelia Beaux had done: next to a beautiful portrait of 2 children was this little tiny color/composition study for the portrait.  I was so impressed with it, I thought I would try it myself.  Here is my 4x6 inch painting incase I decide to paint it larger.  This was a good, low pressure way to think about painting something regarding edges and colors.

Here is Cecelia's version, plus some beautiful closeups of the final portrait.
